The power of Lack

We are living in a physical world, we are used to see, touch, feel & smell things around us, we always wanted to own something in-order to fulfill our desire and ego. If we are not able to get hold on what we wanted, the mind starts to focus on “lack”.
Common illusions of Lack:-
1) Comparison - we start to compare with other people. Comparison means separation, we are too focus on physical level and have forgotten the true identify of who we are, and have forgotten that we are spirit and oneness. If we are willing to stop for a moment and look at all these from a soul perspective, it is just an illusion for temporary feeding to the incarnated ego self in the physical world.
2) Over-Identification - when we are too focus on the beauty of physical appearance on certain material goods, it lost the meaning of whether we are really need it or not. Stop for awhile and think, are these items what I wanted for helping me to stay in my own comfort zone or do I really need it for greater service to self and others?
3) Jealousy & Envy - Why would my friend has something which I don’t?
4) Must prove self to obtain worth – are you showing others how successful you are? And having the intention to make peoples feeling jealous on you? The ego will be very happy as it is feeding the purposes. Or, in order to gain recognition from others to prove that you are worthwhile.
Identifying the “Lack” exercise:-
1) List down what you think are lacking of in your life.
2) List down the difficulties and challenges to you by having that sense of ‘lack’ and how you would like to transcend it.
3) If you have successfully achieved what you wanted, how do you feel? Do you expect someone to respond/react to your achievement?
4) Be honest to your list and ask if those items are meant for your greater service to self and other? or serving your own selfish agenda/illusion that is operating from sense of lack?
5) If you think none of the items in the list you have written is applicable to “Lack”, then why did you put it in the “lack” list? It is time to let go of poverty consciousness and shift your attention to abundance consciousness!
